About Us

Linda Bourdon, Ed.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who conducts psychological and educational evaluations, works with families to implement behavioral treatment programs and conducts individual and family counseling sessions. She often serves as an educational consultant. Dr. Bourdon earned her doctorate at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She has over 25 years of experience as a school psychologist and program administrator in the public schools. Dr. Bourdon worked in general practice within the schools for several years prior to pursuing a specialty interest in working with students who have autism spectrum disorders and other severe disabilities at a regional special education program. For 15 years, Dr. Bourdon was the supervisor and lead psychologist for a specialty evaluation team where she participated in hundreds of psychoeducational evaluations of students with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities. Dr. Bourdon also worked with Regent University in Virginia Beach, where she helped to develop, and taught classes, for the Autism Certificate Program for many years. Dr. Bourdon has also worked with children and families experiencing attachment disturbances and other emotional and behavioral symptoms associated with abuse, neglect and foster care placements. Dr. Bourdon utilizes methods of functional behavioral assessment  in designing and implementing behavioral intervention plans utilizing positive behavioral supports.
